| 1:1 | Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the |
O the happiness of that one, who Hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked. And in the way of sinners hath not stood, And in the seat of scorners hath not sat; |
| 1:2 | But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. | But -- in the law of Jehovah `is' his delight, And in His law he doth meditate by day and by night: |
| 1:3 | And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not |
And he hath been as a tree, Planted by rivulets of water, That giveth its fruit in its season, And its leaf doth not wither, And all that he doth he causeth to prosper. |
| 1:4 | The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. | Not so the wicked: But -- as chaff that wind driveth away! |
| 1:5 | Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. | Therefore the wicked rise not in judgment, Nor sinners in the company of the righteous, |
| 1:6 | For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. | For Jehovah is knowing the way of the righteous, And the way of the wicked is lost! |
