| 127:1 | Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain |
[A song of degrees for Solomon.] Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vaine that build it: except the Lord keepe the citie, the watchman waketh but in vaine. |
| 127:2 | It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. | It is vaine for you to rise vp early, to sit vp late, to eate the bread of sorrowes: for so hee giueth his beloued sleepe. |
| 127:3 | Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. | Loe, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the wombe is his reward. |
