And Jacob Asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost Ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

Ask me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me: but give me the damsel to wife.

And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall Ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.

For Ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and Ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and Ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;

Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: Ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

That this may be a sign among you, that when your children Ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?

And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall Ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?

And they said unto him, Ask counsel, we pray thee, of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous.

And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to Ask us a king.

Ask thy young men, and they will shew thee. Wherefore let the young men find favour in thine eyes: for we come in a good day: give, I pray thee, whatsoever cometh to thine hand unto thy servants, and to thy son David.

Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou Ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?

Then the king answered and said unto the woman, Hide not from me, I pray thee, the thing that I shall Ask thee. And the woman said, Let my lord the king now speak.

Then she spake, saying, They were wont to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely Ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter.

And now I Ask one petition of thee, deny me not. And she said unto him, Say on.

Then she said, I desire one small petition of thee; I pray thee, say me not nay. And the king said unto her, Ask on, my mother: for I will not say thee nay.

And king Solomon answered and said unto his mother, And why dost thou Ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Ask for him the kingdom also; for he is mine elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.

In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.

And the LORD said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to Ask a thing of thee for her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her: for it shall be, when she cometh in, that she shall feign herself to be another woman.

And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

And Judah gathered themselves together, to Ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

But Ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; Ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.

But Ahaz said, I will not Ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.

Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they Ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and Ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to Ask how thou doest?

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the heathen, who hath heard such things: the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible thing.

Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took Jeremiah the prophet unto him into the third entry that is in the house of the LORD: and the king said unto Jeremiah, I will Ask thee a thing; hide nothing from me.

O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; Ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?

Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye Ask him.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son Ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Or if he Ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that Ask him?

Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would Ask.

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall Ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye Ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall Ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will Ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things.

And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth Ask him any more questions.

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should Ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.

And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt Ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.

And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I Ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to Ask him.

But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye Ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also Ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst Ask him any question.

Then said Jesus unto them, I will Ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

Give to every man that Asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods Ask them not again.

But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to Ask him of that saying.

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

If a son shall Ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he Ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

Or if he shall Ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that Ask him?

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will Ask the more.

And if any man Ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

And he answered and said unto them, I will also Ask you one thing; and answer me:

And after that they durst not Ask him any question at all.

And if I also Ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to Ask him, Who art thou?

But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; Ask him: he shall speak for himself.

Therefore said his parents, He is of age; Ask him.

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt Ask of God, God will give it thee.

Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should Ask who it should be of whom he spake.

And whatsoever ye shall Ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

And in that day ye shall Ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall Ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

Hitherto have ye Asked nothing in my name: Ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

At that day ye shall Ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should Ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

Why Askest thou me? Ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.

Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst Ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to Ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I Ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

And if they will learn any thing, let them Ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we Ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

If any of you lack wisdom, let him Ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But let him Ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye Ask not.

Ye Ask, and receive not, because ye Ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

And whatsoever we Ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
